Suminagashi 墨流し

Floating ink on dark water. Every balance, every confirmation is ink finding its shape. Monero is the ink: it disperses, it cannot be unmixed, and that is the whole point. Transparent assets sit in still, clear pools; XMR lives in the moving swirl. The interface is a sequence of dark water surfaces glimpsed behind heavy scrims, never fought.

The risk

Full-bleed marbling could drown the content. Countered with restraint: the ink lives behind scrims and inside masked vessels; content sits on near-solid indigo. Atmosphere, not wallpaper.

The muse

Suminagashi, the Japanese art of floating ink on water: masters in Fukui prefecture who coax rings onto the surface with a single breath.

Motion personality: “fluid”

Slow organic drift (40–60s loops), ink-bleed reveals, elements surfacing as if through water. Nothing linear, nothing snappy. Even the nav indicator is a brush stroke that repaints itself.
